EUROPE DIRECT Letterkenny, located in Central Library and Donegal Youth Service will host a workshop on the European Solidarity Corps on Tuesday 8th November at 11.30am. To book this event please email [email protected] or [email protected]
The talk is part of Eurodesks Time to Move campaign. For more information visit: https://timetomove.eurodesk.eu/ The European Solidarity Corps is the new volunteering programme funded by the EU for all the young Europeans aged 18-30. European Solidarity Corps projects are available in every country member of the European Union. Volunteering projects last from one month up to one year. The programme is entirely funded by the EU including travel, food and accommodation.
There are many opportunities in Europe for young people from Ireland. Especially those with fewer opportunities, such as unemployed young people and early school leavers. Time to Move activities are organised by Eurodesk experts and offer young people the opportunity to prepare themselves for physical or virtual projects. They can browse through webinars, information sessions, opportunities for personal guidance or physical activities near them, and start planning ahead.
Working, studying, training or volunteering in Europe can be especially beneficial to young people struggling to find their place in society. Often this information doesn’t reach the people who need it most. The Time to Move campaign from Eurodesk, the Europe-wide information network for young people, aims to put this right.

It’s great that this year we can work with EUROPE DIRECT Letterkenny and deliver the workshop to local students and professionals. We hope for a successful and inspirational event.”

Tá go leor deiseanna ann d’Éireannaigh óga san Eoraip. Go háirithe do na daoine sin a bhfuil níos lú deiseanna acu, ar nós daoine óga dífhostaithe nó luathfhágálaithe scoile. Tá gníomhaíochtaí Am Gluaiseachta eagraithe ag saineolaithe Eurodesk agus tugtar deis do dhaoine óga iad féin a ullmhú do thionscadail fhisiciúla nó fhíorúla. Féadfaidh siad breathnú ar sheimineáir ghréasáin, seisiúin eolais, deiseanna do threoir phearsanta nó gníomhaíochtaí fisiciúla in aice láimhe, agus tús a chur le pleanáil chun tosaigh.
Féadfaidh sé a bheith an-tairbheach do dhaoine óga atá ag streachailt teacht ar a n-áit féin sa tsochaí dul i mbun oibre, faoi oiliúint nó i mbun oibre deonaí san Eoraip. Is minic nach mbíonn an t-eolas sin ar fáil do na daoine a dteastaíonn sé uathu. Tá sé mar aidhm ag an fheachtas Am Gluaiseachta de chuid Eurodesk, an gréasáin eolais don Eoraip ar fad do dhaoine óga, an méid sin a chur i gceart.
Féadfaidh tú labhairt lenár saineolaí go háitiúil, agus eolas saor in aisce, saor ó bhreithiúnas a fháil maidir leis na deiseanna gluaiseachta atá ar fáil duit. Táimid sásta i gcónaí eolais iontaofa a chur ar fáil agus tacú le forbairt daoine óga. Is rud iontach é go bhfuilimid in ann oibriú i gcomhar le EUROPE DIRECT Leitir Ceanainn agus an cheardlann a chur ar fáil do mhic léinn agus gairmithe áitiúla.
